Schoenstatt was founded on October 18, 1914, by Father Joseph Kentenich. It is an apostolic movement that is centered around Mary, the Mother Thrice Admirable. There are many shrines dedicated to her around the world, but the closest for Minnesotans is in Sleepy Eye, MN. If you haven't visited the shrine before, I strongly encourage you to do so. It is a beautiful place full of many graces which the Blessed Mother wants to pour upon those who visit her. The Girls' Youth is only one of the many branches of the Schoenstatt Movement, and is led by the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary.
